Information You Submit Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Irvine Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you contact the operator, the message contains whatever details you choose to include, which may be used to answer the request.
Routine Technical Logs
The hosting service may record ordinary server data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. That information is reviewed in aggregate for reliability, traffic, and security. Cookies or comparable tools may also support basic analytics or, where used, advertising measurement.
How the Information Is Used
Processing supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvement. Visitor lists are not sold by the reference, and individual user profiles are not built from these routine records.
Links to Record Portals
Pages link to Orange County and California records offices, Irvine municipal tools, libraries, archives, and third-party search services. Once a link is followed, the destination's privacy policy controls what is submitted there. Sponsored result tools are supplied by an outside company and are not governed by this page's handling of site content.
Who May Process Log Data
Hosting and technical providers may process server logs to keep the reference available. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; otherwise it is not shared as a visitor list.
Security and Retention
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes that require them. There are no site accounts, passwords, or personal profiles here for an attacker to access.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor is believed to have sent information directly, contact the operator so the material can be reviewed and removed when appropriate.
California Privacy Choices
Depending on coverage and circumstance, California's Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, may provide rights to know, access, correct, delete, limit certain sensitive-personal-information uses, and opt out of sale or sharing. The California Delete Act and the CPPA's DROP process concern covered data brokers. Because Irvine Residents Directory retains very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs. Use the Contact page to ask.
For a state data-broker request, review the California Privacy Protection Agency privacy guidance and the DROP process. For a covered-business complaint, use the CPPA complaint form or the California Attorney General complaint route. Fraud may also be reported to the Federal Trade Commission, and deceptive mailed documents to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
Government records held by Irvine, Orange County, or California offices are outside the operator's control. A deletion request for a deed, parcel record, court file, voter record, or vital record belongs with the custodian and remains subject to the statute governing that record.
