Terms of Use

These terms apply to use of Irvine Residents Directory. By continuing to use the reference, you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, do not use the reference or its linked search tools.

1. Nature of This Reference

Irvine Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning Irvine, Orange County, and California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with any city, county, state, federal, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the reference only for lawful purposes. You may not use it or information reached through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm someone
  • Find a person protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another offense
  • Make an FCRA-regulated decision involving credit, employment, tenant, or insurance matters
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the content at scale
  • Disrupt the reference, its security, or its operation

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Nothing on the pages, and nothing returned by a linked search tool, is a consumer report. The material may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

4. Outside Links and Tools

Government portals, libraries, archives, sponsored search boxes, and other third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Irvine Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, pricing, security, or data handling.

5. No Promise of Accuracy

The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a page, record description, fee, coverage year, link, or portal result is accurate, complete, current, or available.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from the reference or a linked resource, including a decision made from a record found through it.

7. Your Responsibility to Indemnify

You agree to indemnify and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or violation of these terms.

8. Original Content and Design

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short excerpt with attribution is welcome. Republishing full pages or systematically copying the content is not.

9. Updates to These Terms

The operators may revise these terms by posting a new version here. Continued use after a revision means that the updated terms are accepted.

10. Access May Be Restricted

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms, abuses a search tool, threatens another person, or interferes with the reference. The operators may act without advance notice.

11. California Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without applying conflict-of-law principles. California's Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 and following, governs requests to California custodians, not the private reference. The California Consumer Privacy Act and related amendments, including Civil Code section 1798.100 and following, govern covered privacy rights where applicable. The California Legislative Information CPRA text is the official statutory reference.

12. Severability

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
